WORLD BOOK DAY

On Thursday 5th March we will be celebrating World Book Day at Holy Souls.



The Theme for Holy Souls is PIRATES!

Literacy this week

We will be contiuing our work on narrative writng - Hope you have enjoyed it so far. Your stories before half term were of a very high standard - well done!



Top Tip:- Use a range of Alan Peat sentences witihin your story.

At the beginning of the week we are going to use our fraction knowledge to help us to work out word problems based upon them. We will then move on to percentages.

RE-CAFOD

In RE this week we will be looking very closely at CAFOD's Lenten campaign for 2015.

Ash Wednesday

Don't Forget that tomorrow is Ash Wednesday.

This marks the beginning of the Season of Lent.

It is a Holy Day of Obligation and we receive ashes on our forehead from the palms on Palm Sunday.

Below is a copy of the Beatitudes. We have discussed their meaning in class. For homework we would like you to create your own set of Beatitudes for Christians today.

Your Beatitudes can be either handwritten or word processed. It is due in on Wednesday 25^th February. This work will be stuck into your RE books so it must be of a very high standard.
